Hockey Although Hockey is now contested by both men and women, originally it belonged to India’s men’s team, who won 30 matches straight over 7 Olympic Games, scoring 197 goals and conceding only 8. Hockey is also the oldest known ball and stick game. Records exist of it having been played in Persia in 2000 BC.
