The Youth Olympic Games has really featured some very interesting sports that caught my attention. I like the idea of having handball in the game. Handball is actually a very fun and interesting game that is suitable for many people. It is at least something easier to pick up and is a good game to bond everyone. Archery is another game which one may think is boring to watch because there is less action and probably the athletes are also doing something pretty repetitive that make it less interesting but in fact, it can be exciting too! The excitement comes when the archers are really close in their scores and one managed to have a clean perfect 10 shot to clinch the gold medal. Taekwondo is another sports which the athletes have pretty cool attire to put on at the games. What is even cooler are the kicks displayed. The female athletes have shown that girls can be confident and cool yet maintain that certain level of feminine in this contact sport. Equestrian is a sport that shows the bond between animals and humans. Some animals are really good friends of mankind and seeing how the horse in this case together with the athlete performed and overcome the different set of barriers with elegance is another cool sport to watch.

It was not a performance filled with youth and zest but also the technology and art capabilities of Singapore when comes to organizing such large scale of international events. It also shared with the audience a small piece of the heritage and history of how it evolved from a fishing village to a country of such capabilities. It was a proud moment for the nation. The audience was also proud and happy to be there. YOG President gave a good speech that embodies great meaning. "To win with character" is what he emphasized.
