Rain throughout the course for Woods (EPA)Tiger woods the world no. 1 is out of the US Open and he admitted that he has his share of mistakes. The weather was not fine for him and he did struggle to play his best but he just could not deliver them. The world No.1 had only missed one previous Major cut in his professional career, at the 2006 US Open at Winged Foot and one Masters cut as an amateur 13 years ago.
He was playing well coming into the tournament but he didn't play certain holes well and that itself is the crucial factor. He was one under par after seven holes and right in there for the championship but had a few tough ones and couldn't get it back.
In order to win the majors, he has to put all four rounds together which he did not. Anyway he is still the world no. 1. Even the best probably has some haze in his days.
