The new world bowling champion

Jasmine Yeong-Nathan the new world champion. (Team Singapore)

Now Singapore has a new world champion! It was indeed a delightful piece of news where Jasmine a national champion bowler won at the 44th Qubica AMF Bowling World Cup in Mexico. This tournament is considered the world's most prestigious bowling tournament. Only 20 years old at age Jasmine managed to maintain her standard and concentration to beat defending champion Ann-Maree Putney of Australia in straight sets, with pinfalls of 263 and an almost perfect score of 298. Bowling is actually in some ways a relaxing and recreational game get the ball aim and strike at the pins. But to do it continuously when facing with intense competition, it takes a lot of coolness to maintain the composure and what is more is that the bowler will have to get a strike every time to get the best score. Great to go Jasmine take a good break and perhaps the next few tournaments she is aiming for are the sea games and Asian games. More golds from there will definitely make Singapore proud.
