Figure Skating has a new World record set by China couple Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo after they post a score of 76.66 points, breaking mark of 75.36 they set in December. They were once World champions but their best at the Olympics is only two bronzes. This time having the highest score at the start of the game, they now have a shot at getting what they have aimed for - the gold medal.
Their performance was fantastic and not only the judges who recognized but former Olympic champion 2002 David Pelletier of Canada concurred that. Other teams performing were reigning champaions Savchenko and Szolkowy were nearly as good, with 75.96.
More exciting moments will be posted and probably next will feature on another kind of skating known as speed skating another event in the Winter Olympics.
