A collection of interesting moments of sports stories and news

Camera Techniques

This is a very intense piece of descriptive article on projects on the camera model. It explains the use of a mathematical camera model to  simulate the imaging process of the cameras in a computer. Also the later of brief description of camera calibration is a useful start of for the interested first timers about the camera. As for the part on the imaging geometry of stereo cameras, it is technically written for the scientific minded viewers.

Fundamental principals are described to be applicable for both human and other classes like animals.
At the end, a description of important computer vision algorithms are proposed with the brief description to perform background subtraction, calculate optical flow, scene flow and SIFT features. Furthermore, there is the explanation of how a 3D scene can be captured to a 2D image plane by a camera  with mathematically orientation representations and description of how all this work.

So vividly is the description that I feel, that images of this abstract conceptual explanation are formed to picture what it all means and can be demanding on the human where one may need to have a brain power boost akin to some sportsman who go for hormones infusion.
