Excuse me, Are You Being Served is the prime question to date nowadays in the shopping arena. As Singapore becomes more affluent and developed, this is the question of concern because shoppers felt that they ought to be respected as they are the customers bringing them revenue.

There is an incident at a coffee shop where a food server was at all smiles and promptness to serve his customers. Yet even at off-peak hours, he maintained his high quality service which points to the fact that in the neighborhood there can be customer-oriented workers.

 Not every encounter is a good story though, as I recalled that a salesperson was looking down on a potential customer in bermudas and pretended not to serve him.
